"After many years I have returned to the place of the soul, of memory, here to speak with the new generations to whom my father, Paolo Borsellino, has dedicated part of their life to teach the values of justice and legality. Be masters of yourselves."

These are the words of Fiammetta Borsellino , who returned to Asinara 40 years after 1985, when judges Falcone and Borsellino, with their families, were "deported" to Asinara to prepare the sentence of the maxi trial against Cosa Nostra.

A forced vacation spent for 25 days in the Foresteria headquarters, the Casa Rossa on the sea, in the village of Cala d'Oliva.

"My father had taken into account that his children could fall into an ambush, something he could not understand: that of putting his family at risk." His words were addressed to a large group of kids, students from the Liceo scientifico of Porto Torres, from the Canopoleno of Sassari, together with two classes of middle schools.

The event, organized by Agua-Guide exclusive of the Asinara Park, saw the participation of the extraordinary commissioner of the Park and the director, Gianluca Mureddu and Vittorio Gazale, the mayors of Porto Torres and Stintino, Massimo Mulas and Rita Vallebella, the former director of the Asinara prison, Franco Massidda, historical memory together with Giommaria Deriu, former prison policeman.

But the real protagonists of the event, defined by Commissioner Mureddu as "a historical event" that is repeated on an island that is a symbol of the fight against the mafia.
