The associations that in various capacities deal with the development of Fertilia met on March 8th to celebrate the anniversary of the laying of the foundation stone of the City of Foundation, which took place 88 years ago, in 1936. An opportunity to take stock of the many projects in the pipeline for the revitalization of the village. Digitization and dissemination, studies and research (with the support of the Universities), collaborations with the Porto Conte Regional Park and with the nearby villages, parties and days to spend together, are just some of the ongoing and being perfected activities that the Committee di Quartiere is working in full and total collaboration with CCN Fertilia, E.Gi.S, ANVGD, Associazione Egea and the San Marco Celebration Committee.

«The objective is to use the regional funding, to which we had access through the Municipality of Alghero, to study our origins, our territory and our history from the period of the great reclamations to today; get Fertilia out of her physical confines and give her back the dignity she deserves, even just for what she represents in the very current issue of social inclusion and hospitality", explained the representatives of the associations.

Something is moving, but the issue of historic buildings in a complete state of abandonment remains to be resolved. «We will not stop demanding respect, for us and for our places, from a Region that has demonstrated decades of neglect, improvident management, if not at times incapable of providing answers and causing new problems instead of new solutions. And we will do it by bringing our attention there, speaking with the regional departments - they said - and collaborating with the municipal administration, aiming for the results that they promised and that we asked for".
