The situation of the Corsica Ferries Mega Express Five ferry is unlocked.

The ship, stopped at the port of Olbia for Covid cases among the crew, received the green light and was able to leave for Vado Ligure.

Two nights ago the ship should have set sail from Golfo Aranci to Livorno. However, the ascertainment of 23 Covid positive cases within the crew had led the owner to re-protect the 330 passengers and 110 cars on a Moby ship departing from Olbia, where the Mega Express Five has stationed until today.

The positives, who in these hours were kept separate from the other crew members and received their meals from the ground by a specialized company, from Vado Ligure will be accompanied by a "protected transfer" to a Covid residence in Tuscany. The rest of the crew will remain on board in quarantine until January 3, when new tests will be carried out.

The infected, according to what is learned, are in good health conditions.
