Fears erupted last night after an arson attack broke out in the town center. The flames started around 11 p.m. in the large garden of a villa on Via Amendola, threatening nearby homes.

The rescue teams responded promptly: officers from the Capoterra Barracellare company, led by Captain Ignazio Simone, and three vehicles from the Cagliari fire brigade arrived on Via Amendola to put out the fire.

The fire was contained before it reached the villa and nearby homes. What started the flames remains unclear: local residents reported seeing young people running away, but it's unclear whether they played a role in the fire's outbreak.
