Quartu, against a wall with the car: killed instantly

Fatal accident this afternoon in Quartu , in via S'ecca S'Arrideli, along the road that leads to Flumini.

For reasons yet to be ascertained, a man lost control of the car, a Lancia Y, crashing into the pillar of a gate. The car overturned and the driver, a 66-year-old pensioner , died instantly. His name was Emilio Piga : born in Cagliari, he lived in Sestu.

The road, already in the past, had been the scene of accidents.

Shortly before the point of impact, a slight downhill curve could have been fatal for loss of control of the vehicle.
