Fatal asthma crisis, thirty-nine year old dies on the street in Quartucciu

Killed by a fatal asthma attack, a thirty-nine-year-old man lost his life this evening on Via Cavour, in Quartucciu. Despite immediate medical attention, there was nothing that could be done for him.

The tragedy unfolded around 6:30 PM, when the 118 operations center received a call for help for a man who appeared to have suffered a respiratory crisis while out for a walk.

Rescuers responded immediately: the Lamarck Association ambulance departed from its headquarters on nearby Via Nazionale.

Despite the prompt response, the situation quickly deteriorated: the thirty-nine-year-old had already gone into cardiac arrest. Resuscitation procedures were initiated, with the support of the Mike crew. Unfortunately, all to no avail: his heart never restarted.

The Carabinieri and the magistrate on duty also intervened on the scene.
