The honorable Antonio Saba, mayor of Carbonia from 1963 to 1964, a leading exponent of the Communist Party, was 94 years old .
Born in 1928, he was born in Fluminimaggiore , he held political positions from 1952 to 1984 , initially as a city councilor, city councilor and finally as a regional councilor.

" A life spent at the service of the institutions , which he has always been able to honor with commitment and dedication , like his love and his battles alongside the workers as a union leader of the CGIL" commented the mayor Pietro Morittu .
