Falls on a steep path and gets a conspicuous head injury: 70-year-old rescue in Urzulei

Difficult hike for a 70-year-old doctor in Urzulei. The man, while walking a steep path with his wife, fell, causing a conspicuous head wound. It happened yesterday in Teletotes.

Immediate alarm to 118 and the Fire Brigade. The brigade team quickly reached the pair of hikers providing first assistance to the unfortunate while waiting for the helicopter rescue service.

The 70-year-old was subsequently taken over by the Health Service and transported to the Nuoro hospital for further investigations.

The firefighters then accompanied the woman back to the car parked near the highway.
