A moment of prayer, of reflection. A moment of hope for the next agricultural year. The church of San Pietro di Sorres, in Borutta, hosted the regional Thanksgiving Day, promoted by Coldiretti. An appointment that has been repeated for many years for a moment of sharing, community and prayer that the association organizes to unite member farmers and breeders in a day of community. Arriving from all over Sardinia, the Sardinian farmers gathered for the mass celebrated by the Archbishop of Sassari Gian Franco Saba , with Father Luigi Tiana (abbot of San Piero di Sorres), the ecclesiastical councilor of Coldiretti Don Mario Tanca, the monks Benedictines and priests of Meilogu. "We must transform a land of brambles into a garden and this hatred is a commitment for everyone", underlined Monsignor Saba. «Even today there are many brambles made up of ideologies and social choices that do not benefit the growth of creation. Cooperation is becoming difficult today but we must work to build it."

«Coldiretti has been repeating Thanksgiving Day for 73 years and it is always renewed», underlined Battista Cualbu , regional president of the association. «This was a particular year, but we are grateful for the past campaign, even if through ups and downs and today we had a blessing for the one that is about to begin, hoping it will be one of good omens». Also for the regional director of Coldiretti Luca Saba «this year was characterized by great sacrifice for our Sardinian agricultural companies at a critical moment also for the political system, which is being renewed in Sardinia. And for the future of the country we hope that our wishes that have come together today with the entire Coldiretti community can be favorable for a rosy future for all of us Sardinians."
