The scorching heat continues in Sardinia, which is preparing for another weekend of high temperatures . Starting tomorrow, Saturday, July 11, a subtropical anticyclone will affect the island, keeping temperatures well above average at least until Monday, July 13. Highs above 37 degrees are expected over the weekend, especially in the western regions.

The situation will be even more critical in inland areas, where temperatures could reach 41 degrees Celsius. Minimum temperatures will also remain particularly high, with values above 20-22 degrees Celsius across much of Sardinia . Precisely in anticipation of the new heatwave, the regional Civil Protection Department issued a severe weather warning this afternoon, valid from late tomorrow morning until Monday evening.

A further strengthening of the heat wave is expected on Tuesday, July 14, and the issuance of a new warning cannot be ruled out.
