Wages lower than those provided for by collective agreements, "cut" of hours in paychecks and exploitation of manpower.

An agricultural cooperative from Oristano is in trouble, which will now have to suffer administrative sanctions, after the checks of documents by the Labor Inspectorate.

There are 400 workers involved in the period examined, which runs from 2017 to 2019. The coop, explains the Inspectorate, would have hired and employed manpower exploiting the workers and taking advantage of their state of need, their particular economic needs and the condition general crisis of the labor market.

An hourly rate between 4.5 and 6 euros per hour, much lower than that provided for by collective agreements. With these cuts, the cooperative would have saved a gross taxable amount of 3,668,412 euros in three years.

Also ascertain violations of working hours, in particular of daily and weekly rest periods, as well as administrative violations on exceeding the average working hours. The hours in excess, overtime, were not compensated either with the right salary or with compensatory rest periods.
