Exercise "Caex II-2022", shooting is going on day and night in Teulada
Approximately 1,000 soldiers and 22 helicopters in the shooting range: "Consolidate both logistical support capabilities for combat and specialist ones"
In the Capo Teulada shooting range, shooting takes place day and night. The "Caex II-2022" exercise which saw the Army aviation as the protagonist with the "Friuli" Airmobile Brigade conipped as a multi-armed Combat Aviation Brigade (Cab), the Ministry of Defense announced in recent days.
About a thousand soldiers and 22 helicopters were employed in the operational theater of south-west Sardinia, as we read in a note, "in a complex, multi-arms and joint training event, with fire on the move, day and night".
The scenario, which is defined as "highly realistic", involved the conduct of "aeromechanical and aircraft operations, day and night. As a corollary of the main effort, both the combat support logistics capabilities and the specialist ones have been consolidated”.
An ordinance from the Sant'Antioco Coast Guard had been issued for the same days: navigation in the water spaces around the range was forbidden from 8 to 18. The night-time fire drills were carried out only on land.
