A day full of events incorporated into a week that has the University of Sassari as its beating heart but also connects to the municipalities of Lula, Alghero, Carbonia and Porto Torres .

The European Researchers' Night will have its highlight on Friday 29 September from 9am to 7.30pm , when middle and high school students will be able to visit the interactive laboratories of artificial intelligence, digital and robotic technologies, chemistry and biotechnology . 15 activities are planned.

At 2.30 pm the rector of the Sassari university Gavino Mariotti and Marica Branchesi, professor of Astrophysics at the Gran Sasso Science Institute, will be in streaming connection with the mayor of Lula Mario Calia (present this morning in the Aula Magna at the presentation of the event) to discuss the social importance and on the economic impact that the Einstein Telescope can bring, which foresees 6 billion in investments and 36 thousand jobs.

«We are applying to do training courses for our young people who intend to work in that system» announced the rector Gavino Mariotti.

Other events are planned from 26 to 28 September and also on the 30th which will concern Alghero ("From gorillas to honey bees: self-medication in the animal world"), Carbonia (various laboratories on biodiversity) and Porto Torres which tomorrow at the Turritano Antiquarium will take stock of the Italian archaeological mission in Tunisia.
