"It's right, it's right": Cinzia Pinna's relatives embrace after the ruling was read. Judge Federica Di Stefano has just adjourned the trial of Emanuele Ragnedda for the Conca Entosa crime. The Arzachena businessman will appear before the judges of the Sassari Court of Assizes on November 10th. The judge also rejected the request to modify the precautionary measure. Ragnedda's lawyers had filed a motion to revoke his prison detention and replace it with house arrest.

In essence, all the requests of the prosecutor Noemi Mancini and the civil party lawyers, Nino and Antonella Cuccureddu for the Pinna family, Nicoletta Mani for Luca Franciosi, the alleged victim of the contested slander, and Emanuele Ragnedda, were accepted. Referring to Ragnedda, prosecutor Mancini described him as a wolf hunting prey. This reconstruction of what happened on the evening of September 12th of last year was categorically rejected by the businessman's defense lawyers, criminal lawyers Luca Montella and Gabriele Satta. The two lawyers responded to the prosecution representative as follows: "There are images that clearly show the victim approaching our client, not the other way around."

One of the main themes of the Assize Court trial is undoubtedly the alleged knife attack attributed to Cinzia Pinna, the incident that triggered Ragnedda's reaction. According to the Tempio prosecutor's office, this is an unlikely version of events. Emanuele Ragnedda's father, Mario Ragnedda, the defendant himself, and the victim's family listened calmly to the judge's words.
