The voting operations for the regional elections today recorded the case in Oristano of an elderly voter, who around midday in the polling station of the seaside village of Torregrande located in the constituency headquarters, was "pinned" while taking a photograph with her mobile phone to the ballot paper.

The sound of the camera, evidently of an older generation, was heard indiscriminately by the members of the polling station, who immediately asked the woman to return the already voted ballot which was obviously seized and cancelled .

At that point, the State Police officers who carry out the security service at the electoral headquarters intervened. The woman was asked for her personal details for the measures that the very strict law provides for in these cases.

The people present at the polling station at the time stated that the voter defended herself by saying she was unaware of the fact that the ballot paper could not be photographed and that in any case she had not committed who knows what crime.

For the rest, no other particular episode was reported on the election day which was carried out in an orderly manner in all 87 municipalities of the province. Still in the capital, several inconveniences occurred for those, especially elderly people, who went to vote at the polling stations of the middle school in Piazza Manno, considering the construction site open for the work in progress and the lack of slides for the disabled.
