He darted against traffic on the Sassari-Olbia, the intervention of the Police thwarted a possible tragedy .
The protagonist is a 72-year-old woman , noticed by other motorists on the outskirts of the Gallura city as she proceeded against the traffic on the road heading towards Sassari.
On the spot, alerted by passing motorists, a road patrol intervened together with a steering wheel from the police station. Officers intercepted the car and identified the elderly woman, who said she got confused when she got onto the roadway near the airport junction .
A justification that did not help to avoid a hefty fine and the withdrawal of the license.
Also on State Road 729, the Traffic Police intensified checks, many motorists fined for speeding with the Telelaser: almost two a day, if we consider that in 2023 alone 60 violations were contested and as many licenses withdrawn .
The most striking case is that of an Alfa Romeo traveling at 143 km per hour : the driver, stopped, was also without a driving license because it was withdrawn.
