Alessandra Todde has always said: Saxony's candidacy to host the Einstein Telescope shouldn't be a cause for concern. On the contrary, it could be an opportunity to strengthen SOS Enattos's. For this reason, she immediately focused on strengthening her collaboration with the German region because "presenting ourselves together, on a shared project, makes us even stronger."

No sooner said than done. Today, the governor announced that on January 12th she will sign an agreement with Saxony on the Einstein Telescope. In this way, "this project, which seems so far away, will become ever closer." A convergence also hoped for in recent weeks by Nobel Prize winner Giorgio Parisi, who, in the pages of the German periodical Tagesspiegel, had expressed his hope for Italian-German collaboration in the construction of the ET, partly in Sardinia and partly in Saxony.

A final decision on the location of the Einstein Telescope is expected by 2026. In addition to Sardinia and Saxony, a Dutch site is a candidate.
