The countdown has started in view of the "Due Giare Expo ". The dates of the Rural Festival of the “Due Giare” Tourist Consortium are official: Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 June in Gonnosnò .

On display the typical products and dishes of each community, but not only. A third edition postponed for a year to propose a great event, after the years of pause imposed by the pandemic.

The theme will be "Zero Hunger", which relates to the 2030 sustainability agenda.

«We are ready – begins the president of the Consortium Lino Zedda – to involve the actors of the territory in an even more decisive way; Pro loco, associations and citizens, but we will also open up to businesses, one of the novelties of this renewed Expo, with special spaces created for them in the center of Gonnosnò, which will host a real widespread event».

Banned all food waste and encouraged the recycling of raw materials and ingredients. «All the material used – continues Zedda – will be compostable, the theme of food sustainability will also be addressed in a round table on Saturday with the arrival of an exceptional testimonial».

The name is still top secret. «We will not propose a festival - he continues - and the tastings will be reserved for a limited number of people, a maximum of two hundred and whoever offers the dishes must also know how to tell them». So flavours, but also knowledge, traditions, culture. That's why the Expo Due Giare actors must be prepared to propose dishes in an innovative way, also telling their story, the value of the ingredients, their relationship with the theme "Zero Hunger".

The other great novelty of the event, the presence of a pavilion, a space dedicated to companies, which will transform it into a real Expo.
