On April 23, the Tempio District Judge Federica Distefano will hear the case of an alleged export of Sardinian marijuana organized in Olbia , destined for various towns in the Como and Varese areas, and probably also the Swiss market.
Prosecutors have requested the indictment of four people. They are talking about shipments of up to one hundred kilos of marijuana, like the one intercepted in the Varese area by the Guardia di Finanza in the summer of 2020.
One of the suspects faces another unusual charge, involving the Olbia National Institute of Social Security (INPS). The man is accused of receiving unemployment benefits (NASPi) while failing to provide the social security institution with "required information certifying his employment status and the related source of income, albeit illegal." Essentially, the suspect was supposed to have declared himself a drug trafficker.
The prosecutors of Tempio, Varese and Imperia worked on the alleged drug trafficking.
