No license. No insurance. But they were driving. Three people have been caught and fined in the last two weeks by local police officers in Quartucciu.
In the first case, a thirty-three-year-old foreigner was caught driving an uninsured vehicle. Investigations revealed that the man had never held a driving license and had already been fined for the same violation. For this reason, he was charged with repeat offences, and the vehicle was seized.
A similar fate befell a 20-year-old resident of Quartu who was involved in an accident while riding a previously seized scooter. He, too, had never held a license and was reported to the judicial authorities for repeated driving without a license, as well as for violating the seizure orders, resulting in the confiscation of the motorcycle.
In the third incident, a 28-year-old man, resident of Selargius, was also found driving a motorcycle without a license, having never obtained one. In this case, the vehicle was also placed under administrative seizure.
Local Police Commander Fabio Carboni emphasized the importance of the ongoing checks: "Local Police officers will continue to operate consistently and professionally to ensure the safety of citizens, adopting all necessary measures to comply with the rules and protect the community."
The checks will continue in the next few days.
