Donori, car goes off the road and catches fire: driver on the run
At km 4 the man lost control of the vehicle, perhaps stolen, and ended up in private land
After he lost control of the car, he went off the road and the vehicle rolled over, then caught fire. It happened during the night in Donori , on provincial road 10: the driver , probably unharmed, ran away and there were no traces of him when the carabinieri arrived.
According to what was reconstructed, the man , after having traveled that stretch of road aboard his Renault Clio coming from the town of Donori in the direction of Ussana , having reached km 4 he lost control of the vehicle, finishing the race on private land and giving himself then to escape.
The flames were put out by a team of firefighters from Cagliari.
Investigations underway to ascertain the ownership of the vehicle and the driver's personal details. It could be a stolen vehicle .
