Domestic violence: Mandas worker removed from family home

A 58-year-old man was removed from his family home in Mandas following several incidents of domestic violence .

The precautionary measure was applied this morning by the Carabinieri of the local station.

The worker was removed from his home and banned from coming within 300 metres of his ex-wife, a 57-year-old woman who lives in the same town .

The first interventions carried out by the Carabinieri in the home date back to almost a year ago, in September 2023. The investigations, which made use of testimonies and documentation, painted a picture of continuous arguments and discussions between the spouses and several episodes of domestic violence . All of this culminated in mutual complaints for threats and harassing behavior.

Definitively separating the two, the Carabinieri underline, is "a necessary step to prevent further tensions and guarantee the woman's safety ."
