The court of Cagliari condemns the provincial administration of Sassari to pay over 645 thousand euros for the bankruptcy of Demos, the promotion and development company that went bankrupt in 2012 .

The ruling, filed in recent days, puts a firm point on the story of the 88% stake held by the Province and other municipalities with smaller shares.

Founded in 1998, which became in-house in 2006, it had undergone a progressive erosion of capital until its liquidation in 2011 and the aforementioned bankruptcy.

For the Cagliari court, the only one competent at regional level for the business sector, and its college chaired by judge Ignazio Tamponi, alongside Stefano Greco and Nicola Caschili, the responsibility lies with the province.

The bankruptcy trustee Gianfranco Sotgiu and the lawyer Liliana Pintus, who have identified some illegal conduct, in their opinion the cause of the crisis, have brought the liability action against the public body. Among these, the failure to set up a control committee, the frequent activities "in promotion", such as studies and research for projects, which often did not result in payments of money. Together with these reasons also the progressive assignment of assignments to the other investee, Multiss, which would not have had the competences for assignments with respect to Demos.

Alessandra Giudici was also accused in the case, at the time the president of the Province, whom the judges did not consider personally condemning, and to whom the legal costs were reimbursed by Demos . 645 thousand euros instead in favor of the latter by the Province, and in addition the court costs.
