An important hearing will be held on March 4th in the civil trial against Anas for the improvement of road safety in Sardinia, following the tragic death of the brothers Matteo and Francesco Pintor, which occurred on December 25th 2017 on the state road 129 Nuoro-Macomer.
Giovanni Pintor, who lost his brothers in an accident caused by a guardrail deemed to be out of compliance, has launched an appeal for public support, inviting them to share his message: "Every small action can make a difference."
The trial was initiated by Alessandro Satta, Giovanni's cousin, who is defended by the lawyer Danilo Sedda of Sassari, while Anas is represented by the lawyer Pietro Antonio Sanna. The lawsuit, promoted by Satta and which in March will also see the formation of the AdessoBasta association of Giovanni Pintor, aims to obtain a conviction that obliges Anas to secure all Sardinian roads, in particular the guardrails, which in this specific case caused the death of the Pintor brothers.
The first hearing was already held on December 19, before Judge Francesca Lecis. On March 4, in addition to continuing the trial, there will also be the appointment of a Ctu (Technical Consultant of the Office), who will have to establish whether the guardrail terminal, on which the car crashed, was compliant with safety regulations. This aspect is crucial to determine the responsibilities of Anas in ensuring safe infrastructure.
Giovanni, together with Alessandro and the members of AdessoBasta, asks everyone to support the cause, raising public awareness on road safety. "It is not only a cause for my family, but for all those who travel dangerous roads every day," said Giovanni, inviting everyone to share the message and the video of the cause .
