This morning, at the Carabinieri provincial command headquarters in Cagliari, the provincial commander, Brigadier General Luigi Grasso, welcomed Lieutenant Davide Revelant, who will assume the role of commander of the operational and mobile unit of the Quartu Sant'Elena Company.
In welcoming the young officer, General Grasso, according to a statement from the Carabinieri, "emphasized the importance of the values that guide the Carabinieri's daily work in the field: closeness to citizens, constant attention to the needs of the community, respect for rules and institutions, a spirit of sacrifice and dialogue." He emphasized "how these principles must be applied concretely in operational activities and in human relationships with the population, in a historical moment that requires balance, sensitivity, and the ability to listen."
The provincial commander also expressed full confidence in the new commander, noting that "the appointment represents a significant step in personal and professional growth, but above all a renewed commitment to the safety, legality, and serenity of the community."
Lieutenant Davide Revelant, a twenty-seven-year-old originally from the province of Udine, comes from the 9th Carabinieri Battalion of Sardinia, where he was responsible for public order activities and led the Operational Support Team, a unit specialized in dealing with high-intensity emergencies.
An officer of the 201st course of the Modena Military Academy, he was promoted in 2021 upon completion of the Carabinieri Officers' School, obtaining a degree in Law.
The arrival of Lieutenant Revelant completes the recent rotation among the departments of the Cagliari Provincial Command, which in recent weeks has also welcomed the new commanders of the Villacidro, San Vito, and Carbonia companies.
