Open doors at Casa D&D, the splendid new home owned by Daniele Buongiorno, 41, and Daniele Frassu, 36, the two autistic friends who have undertaken the journey towards autonomy in Porto Torres.
An independent life path that they wanted to announce to the public through the Open Day, a day dedicated to the visit of their new home, scheduled for Friday 11 April from 10 to 20 to tell citizens about their "Beautiful experience of daily life". An example of inclusion and a model to be replicated that requires an organizational capacity capable of promoting a gradual separation from the family, even in the presence of fragility and reduced autonomy.
A strategic challenge lived with the awareness of trying their hand at a home of their own, knowing that around the corner there are always their educators, Paolo Gaspa and Angela Pudda, who with professionalism and love support Daniele and Daniele. But the innovative residential solution was born from the will of the parents of both young people affected by autism spectrum disorder.
The strength of mothers, Emilia Masala and Caterina Puliga, overcame every obstacle, even the most complex ones, because the goal of ensuring a future for their children was to take a decisive step towards self-determination.
