Dangerous overtaking with the continuous crossing of the continuous line, frontal grazes. And even burned red traffic lights. Hurry, or perhaps the desire to hear the engine roar. What appears to be a mix of imprudent behavior, violations of the highway code and a desire for ostentation is what led to the terrible fatal accident on State Road 195 in San Giovanni Suergiu on Monday morning: a Swiss couple, Markus Krautli, 67 years old, lost their lives , and his wife Melissa, aged 63, charred to death in the Ferrari Portofino spider which caught fire after overturning following contact with a Lamborghini Huracàn Coupè which in turn hit a camper with two South Tyrolean tourists on board.

The man driving the Lamborghini is an Indian billionaire, registered in the register of suspects ( The complete news on L'Unione Sarda on newsstands and on the app ).

They were all traveling in the same direction. The fire came at the end of a series of overtakings, recorded in the video made by a motorist who was on the same road traveled by the cars taking part in a tour of powerful luxury cars, during a journey between Sulcis and Masua.

Shortly before the lethal impact, at least 4 cars (including Lamborghinis and Ferraris) crossed the continuous line to pass in front of the vehicle in front. On at least one occasion the front was grazed: one of the vehicles roared to get back into the lane and avoid a motorbike coming from the opposite direction.

But the violations were not only recorded on the stretch where the accident occurred. The procession was very long. And perhaps while the Swiss couple were still only thinking about how to enjoy the day, some of the participants had already reached the Cortoghiana crossroads, a few kilometers further north. There is a traffic light here. At that moment it was red. The other motorists waited their turn. Not two Lamborginis: they widen and cross the intersection. Among those who were waiting there were those who filmed the scene. The video ends with the sound of an engine revving up.

Meanwhile, photos of the dozens of supercars parked in a square in Masua have made the rounds online: those on board respected the day's schedule, as if there had been no accidents.
