Administrative staff shortages and front office closures at the Reception Center . Meanwhile, Radiotherapy is working to reduce waiting lists by expanding operations and offering additional services. The CISL FP union is protesting and demanding answers from the management of Arnas Brotzu. Regional Councilor Alessandro Sorgia also addressed the situation at Radiotherapy, raising questions about the critical issues and delays in the service.

According to the CISL Fp union at Brotzu, there is only one common thread: planning . On the one hand, a service considered essential for the oncology process, which, according to the union, is struggling with such a shortage of administrative staff that it has been forced to close its front office. On the other, a facility, the Radiotherapy Oncology Unit, is called upon to increase its activity to help reduce waiting lists. Two different situations, the union emphasizes, which cannot be confused or necessarily traced back to the same cause. But when viewed together, they raise a broader question about the organizational capacity of the Businco oncology hospital and, more generally, of Arnas Brotzu.

The first report focuses on the Service Reception Center (CAS), the service dedicated to patients with suspected or first-time diagnoses of oncology. The CAS is responsible for orienting patients and helping organize the diagnostic and care pathway. The CISL Fp Arnas Brotzu union has formally requested company management to clarify whether the suspension of the front office is indeed confirmed, the reasons for the situation, how activities are currently being guaranteed, and what measures are planned to restore the service to full operation.

"We want to start from the facts and wait for the company to provide a precise picture," says Luciano Serra, company secretary of Cisl Fp Arnas Brotzu . "But if what we've reported is confirmed, it would be wrong to simply dismiss it as a problem with the opening or closing of a service desk." At the same time, the Radiotherapy Oncology Department is engaged in an extraordinary program aimed at reducing waiting lists. Activities are also being expanded into evenings and Saturdays, making use of additional services and the availability of professionals.

The situation regarding the radiotherapy waiting lists at Businco has also come to the attention of the Regional Council. Councilor Alessandro Sorgia , FdI, along with other center-right representatives, has submitted a question regarding the "serious critical issues and delays in radiotherapy services" at the Cagliari oncology hospital.
