Covid loosens its grip on Sardinia , where in the week of 10 to 16 February there was an improvement in the incidence per 100 thousand inhabitants (53.3) and a decrease in new infections (-13.8%) compared to the previous week .

The greatest improvement in the province of Nuoro , where the incidence is 28 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants (-48.1% compared to the previous week), followed by Oristano , 37 (-37.8%), Cagliari with 69 (-8 .8%), South Sardinia 40 (-6.9%) and finally Sassari with 64 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants (-3.5% compared to the previous week).

The number of beds occupied by Covid patients in the medical area remains above the national average (9.7%), while the number of beds in intensive care (1.5%) is below the national average.

VACCINES - As far as the vaccination campaign is concerned, the percentage of the over 5 year old population who has not received any dose of vaccine is 11.6% (Italian average 11.2%) to which the over 5 year old population must be added temporarily protected, as recovered from Covid-19 for less than 180 days, equal to 0.4%.

The percentage of the over 5 year old population who did not receive the third dose of the vaccine is 15.5% (Italian average 12.7%) to which must be added the over 5 year old population healed for less than 120 days, who cannot receive the third dose immediately, equal to 2%.

The vaccination coverage rate with the fourth dose is 22.5% (Italian average 31.1%). The vaccination coverage rate with a fifth dose is 10.4% (Italian average 14.8%).

The population aged 5-11 who completed the vaccination cycle is 41.8% (Italian average 35.3%) to which a further 4.4% (Italian average 3.2%) can be added with only the first dose.
