Waiting lists for visits to the disability commissions in the Medio Campidano region have been completely eliminated. This was confirmed by the President of the Region, Alessandra Todde, in her capacity as interim Health Councilor.

"We anticipated it a few weeks ago, and today we are pleased to confirm it: the waiting lists for civil disability commissions in Medio Campidano have been eliminated," Todde declared.

In these months of meetings and site visits, "we've addressed one of the most critical issues facing the local health authority: interminable waits for disability recognition."

The initial situation was particularly dire: approximately 10,500 people were on the waiting list, with waiting times stretching for months, in some cases years. "We're talking about a situation with extremely serious social consequences," the President emphasized. "Behind every application are vulnerable individuals and families left alone, deprived of a fundamental right that must be guaranteed quickly and reliably."

The president also thanked the regional councilors of the area "for their constant presence and their feedback," and especially the healthcare workers, "who have done an extraordinary job."
