Cinzia Pinna's phone hasn't been found. Carabinieri and RIS specialists have thoroughly searched the home and grounds of Emanuele Ragnedda, the forty-one-year-old who confessed to the murder of the thirty-three-year-old from Castelsardo, which occurred on the night of September 11th on the businessman's estate in the countryside between Arzachena and Palau. But no trace of the victim's cell phone has been found.

The device has been inactive since the night of the crime. It's uncertain whether it will provide crucial evidence for the investigation, but it's certainly a missing piece in reconstructing a picture that investigators are increasingly clear about.

Ragnedda has already admitted to firing his gun —he was granted a gun license for safety reasons—during an argument, at the height of which, while under the influence of cocaine and alcohol, he felt threatened by the woman who soon after became his victim. It's still unclear what exactly happened in the moments immediately preceding the incident. The confessed offender said that Cinzia Pinna approached him holding an object. However, several relevant details are currently lacking.

And it's not a given that they will emerge this afternoon, when the investigating judge of the Tempio Court, Marcella Pinna, will meet Ragnedda in the Tempio court for the preliminary hearing, scheduled for 5 pm.

The defense line has not yet been finalized: the suspect, assisted by attorney Luca Montella, may decide to exercise his right to remain silent, while he waits to understand what and how many elements are emerging against him on every aspect of the case—from the crime itself, to the concealment of the victim's body, to the parties he attended as if nothing had happened, and the attempts to conceal evidence of his guilt.
