Cinzia Pinna trusted, perhaps even believing that the kind man who approached her in Palau on the evening of September 11th could help her. She wasn't well, as had happened to her before. Cinzia was a fragile woman, but she loved life, and despite the difficulties and many problems, she was searching for a path to at least a peaceful existence. Her family members were helping her, her parents and sister Carlotta, and her friends. The same people who had desperately searched for her for 12 days. The story of Cinzia, 33, daughter of a restaurant couple from Castelsardo, is, sadly, once again, the story of a woman who is killed and discarded like garbage.

Emanuele Ragnedda and Cinzia Pinna may have known each other for some time; she worked in Baia Sardinia and occasionally frequented the bars in Palau. Late in the evening of September 11th, according to the investigation, the woman got into the businessman's car and the two left the town. From that moment on, the 33-year-old was never heard from again, and her family raised the alarm the next day.

The Carabinieri received some worrying signals: officers from the Palau station put together several pieces of evidence and sent an initial report to the Tempio Prosecutor's Office. Although he wasn't aware of it yet, Emanuele Ragnedda had been under investigation since last week. Then, yesterday afternoon, the confession came. "I want to talk, I'll tell you everything now," said the 41-year-old businessman from Arzachena, admitting to firing a gunshot and killing Cinzia Pinna.
