A Christmas week marked by bad weather in Italy, where a vortex fueled by colder easterly currents is arriving.

The effects of this worsening weather will be felt today and tomorrow, with precipitation also expected in Sardinia.

Until Friday the 26th, experts explain, the central-western Mediterranean area will remain trapped in a low pressure area, with strong winds also from the easterly quadrants.

Instead, it will be a very white Christmas in all areas above 1000-1200 metres, where accumulations will easily exceed 150 centimetres.
