Thirty-six additional faces: some may already be reserved, others are awaiting authorization. It is a race against time, which is about to expire, the one engaged by the companies and the Region to try to stop the emergency in air connections to and from Sardinia during the Christmas period.

Sold out until a few days ago, impossible to travel during the holidays between the island and Milan and Rome. So here is the rolling rollout, with new aircraft operating in additional time slots.

ENAC yesterday announced that it is awaiting Ita and Volotea with their requests. Which have started to arrive.

Six frequencies had already been added in recent days on the Linate-Cagliari route: one additional frequency on 11, 21, 22 and 23 December and two more frequencies on 24 December. Yesterday morning, two more connections were added again for 24 December on the Milan Linate-Cagliari route and vice versa and on the Milan Linate-Alghero route and vice versa.

Also yesterday, another four additional flights were given the green light by ENAC and are on sale from today: on December 21, an additional frequency on the Milan Linate-Alghero route and return, on December 22 on the Milan Linate-Cagliari route, on the Rome Fiumicino route -Alghero and on the Milan Linate - Olbia section and vice versa.

For another eight additional frequencies, the regional Transport Department, led by Sardinian Antonio Moro, is completing technical checks in order to be able to request authorization from ENAC as early as this morning and proceed with the sale in the afternoon.

In this case it is an additional frequency on the Milan Linate-Cagliari route and vice versa on 20 December, one on the Milan Linate-Cagliari route on 21 December and one on the Milan Linate-Cagliari, Milan Linate-Alghero, Milan Linate -Olbia and Rome Fiumicino-Alghero and vice versa on 23 December.

Finally, for Christmas Eve, December 24, two additional connections are planned, one on the Milan Linate-Cagliari route (and return) and another on the Milan Linate-Alghero route and vice versa.
