Changing of the guard at the Command of the Carabinieri Legion of Sardinia. Stefano Iasson takes the place of Francesco Gargaro, the ceremony of transfer and assumption of command is held in the morning in the Piazza d'Armi of the Sardinia Carabinieri Legion Command.

General Gargaro, after two years and nine months of command on the island, characterized by the difficult service of the pandemic and numerous operations to protect public safety, especially regarding drugs, returns to Rome where he will direct the Carabinieri Cultural Heritage Protection Command.

General Stefano Iasson, 59 years old, from Viterbo, in his long career commanded the Milan Radiomobile Unit, the Frascati Company and had various positions at the 1st Carabinieri Parachute Battalion "Tuscania", of which he was also the Commander. He carried out numerous missions abroad, in particular in Sarajevo, Pec (Kosovo) and Kabul. He was Commander of the 7th Trentino Alto Adige Regiment, of the Messina Operations Department, of the Padua Provincial Command and of the 2nd Mobile Brigade, from which he comes. He also held various General Staff positions at the General Command of the Army.
