Work has begun on the construction of new parking lots along the Castiadas coastline. The project – costing one and a half million euros – will involve the areas of Santa Giusta, San Pietro and Cala Pira. In the end, there will be 400 parking spaces for cars (15 of which are for disabled people) and 75 for two-wheelers (motorcycles and bicycles). The material used will be draining concrete.

Each parking lot will be equipped with an underground ecological island, parking spaces for slow mobility, toilets and benches. All areas will be under video surveillance.

"An intervention - explained the mayor of Castiadas Eugenio Murgioni - in which environmental sustainability, technology and efficiency dominate. We really want to offer residents and tourists a beautiful and safe territory".
