Work has begun on the 2.2 million euro (PNRR funds) construction of the new primary and secondary schools in Castiadas , in the hamlet of Olia Speciosa .

A wooden construction technique (XLam technology) will be used which offers both environmental and structural advantages .

The complex will be divided into three interconnected buildings, each on two levels, designed to house learning spaces and common services. These include a library, a canteen and an outdoor sports field.

"We are building a school," said Mayor Eugenio Murgioni, "that represents a perfect balance between functionality, safety and architectural beauty. It will be an example of sustainability and cutting-edge architecture."
