Castelsardo, municipal employees threatened and insulted: armed surveillance arrives

Too many episodes of violence and behaviors, which put at risk the staff employed in the public offices of the Social Services Department, have alarmed the Municipality of Castelsardo, which has had to equip itself with the right countermeasures.

The municipal administration has activated the new armed surveillance service to protect those who are in direct contact with different types of users on a daily basis.

A provision taken by the organization following the numerous acts of violence and intimidation that have occurred in recent months. The service has been entrusted to the Vigilpol supervisory institute of Sassari, which is able to guarantee the safety of staff and users who turn to social policy operators after the attacks that took place in the offices.

A sector that involves operators and managers, too often exposed to insults and threats, and who will be able to enjoy armed protection to be able to carry out their work safely and adequately. In some cases, in fact, the intervention of local police officers and carabinieri was necessary to resolve situations of verbal aggression and bullying.
