On Thursday 10 July, the city of Castelsardo celebrates its 15th consecutive Blue Flag, awarded to the municipality identified as a bathing area at a national level with at least one sampling point for sea water analysis.

The party will start at 11 am on Ampurias beach, in Lu Bagnu, with a training day on the topic of the environment with local representatives of Plastic Free. The mayor of Castelsardo, Maria Lucia Tirotto, and the councilor for the Environment, Christian Speziga, will be present at the event. The recognition was awarded by the Foundation for Environmental Education, the NGO based in Denmark and active in over 70 countries worldwide. In Castelsardo, four blue flags have been awarded, respectively to the beaches of La Madonnina, the lido in the former Americani building, the tourist port and the Ampurias beach. From 9:30 pm, musical entertainment and group dancing are planned in the square of La Madonnina beach in Lu Bagnu.
