Carloforte: the "repentant" thief does not avoid a complaint

As he was leaving the house where he had just carried out a theft, he was seen by the owner, who was returning at that moment. A story, which took place in Carloforte , which ended with a complaint.

The carabinieri received a phone call from a 38-year-old who explained that he had crossed paths with the thief and had followed him, to stop him not far away. “Why did you come into my house?” He asked, and the 57-year-old handed him 195 euros, the “loot”, solemnly promising that he would never enter that house again. In the meantime, the 38-year-old's sister and a friend had arrived, and the friend took some photos of the thief's bike, those used for recognition by the military who, finally, reported him for aggravated theft.
