Carbonia, woman run over on the pedestrian crossing in via Roma

An elderly woman was hit by a car while crossing the pedestrian crossing last night in Carbonia.

The accident took place in via Roma , where the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile of the Carbonia Company intervened.

The 71-year-old woman was crossing the crossroads when she was hit by a Citroen driven by a peer of hers originally from Assemini who hadn't noticed her presence. Next to him was his 95-year-old mother.

The investor immediately stopped to help the woman , who was taken by the 118 staff to the Sirai hospital for checks. He sustained only minor injuries .

The military carried out the findings of the case and checked the driving and vehicle documents, which were regular.
