Carbonia, the pedestrian hit while crossing the road died

Ignazio Piras, the 67-year-old who was hit yesterday in Via della Vittoria in Carbonia , while he was crossing the road, died during the night.

The driver of the car, an Opel Corsa, promptly stopped for first aid. The Solki rescue ambulances and the Sirai medical ambulance were on site, having taken the injured man to the Sirai hospital in Carbonia.

Despite medical treatment, Piras worsened and died around 2 am.

Local police officers intervened for the investigations.
