Carbonia, murky waters and nauseating smells from Rio Santu Milanu

Following the report made last week by the Serbariu neighborhood committee, the agents of the Carbonia local police intervened for an inspection on the Rio Santu Milanu , at the Carbonia exit close to the agglomerations of Is Lampis and is Toccus to try to identify the origin of the annoying stench that has surrounded the village of Serbariu for days.

The agents were able to personally verify the state of the watercourse, recently cleaned of numerous weeds, where the presence of turbid waters and an unusual white and brown foam is highlighted.

Among the hypotheses under consideration is also that of a possible illegal spill of sewage sewage which could be ascertained by specific analyzes.

In recent days, a similar inspection was carried out by the second public works council commission of the Municipality of Carbonia and even earlier by the carabinieri, who intervened on the spot after being warned of the situation, again by the Serbariu neighborhood committee.
