Almost disastrous roads, urbanization in fits and starts, a thrilling access bridge : these and many other problems ended up at the center of a special meeting between the mayor of Carbonia , Pietro Morittu, his council and officials including the commander of the traffic police . The meeting was organized and coordinated by the president of the "Serbariu Neighborhood Committee" Giuliano Usai to give answers to the hardships suffered for years by the inhabitants of the large district of Medadeddu .

More than a district, it is a small town, perched on the southern side of the city, but with serious traffic restrictions: "Only one way of access for us and for the cemetery - revealed Gianni Mannai, one of the residents involved in the meeting. - an outlet on the sp 78 bis used improperly as a shortcut for those returning from the sea, roads without pavement, an incomplete subdivision, some houses still without sewers, impassable sections during the rains ".

The conditions of the access bridge to the town are serious, with the parapets almost in pieces : sooner or later it will have to be demolished.

"On the road network we intervene almost immediately with signs and other precautions - said Mayor Morittu - the rest is planned but our budget suffers from serious shortages of resources".
