She went too far out to sea during a swim in the sea of Stintino and risked drowning because she did not know how to swim. A 63-year-old tourist was rescued, in the afternoon, by the Coast Guard patrol boat of Porto Torres. The woman was in the water on a mattress, in the stretch of sea in front of the beach of Ezzi Mannu, she was carried out to sea by sudden gusts of wind.
Some swimmers, seeing her in difficulty, alerted the Turritana Port Authority which sent a fast Coast Guard A60 vessel to the scene . In a few minutes the tourist was reached and brought back to port, fortunately without serious consequences, even though the woman did not know how to swim. Also on the dock were the 118 personnel who, given the agitated state of the 63-year-old, underwent health checks.
The Port Authority, under the command of Frigate Captain Giuseppe Cannarile, invites bathers to be cautious, especially in the presence of sudden changes in weather conditions .
