Bonorva, the fire starts again: some companies surrounded by flames
The fire was started in places not far from where it started yesterdayThere is no peace for the Bonorva area, which must once again face the alarm linked to the fire that initially broke out yesterday . The extinguishing operations had concluded positively and the emergency seemed to be over, but this afternoon the flames started again and a new intervention was necessary.
The fire, as confirmed by the Forestry Corps, appears to have been started from the road not far from where it started yesterday: it is therefore in all respects a new fire, not a restart . Some companies are surrounded by flames, with further significant damage: a field of round bales, which in the past few hours had been put aside and ready to be taken away, has been burned.
A helicopter from the Anela base was initially present on site, but it was not enough to fight the fire. A second air intervention was requested, with the arrival around 4 pm of a new helicopter, this time from the Farcana-Nuoro base .
Also present to try to fight the fire and manage the situation are the Carabinieri, the Forestry Corps, Forestas and numerous volunteers. Also in flight is a Canadair, which took off from Ciampino .
A new massive intervention is needed to fight the fire, with the area already heavily hit yesterday seeing further hectares of land burning.
