When she arrived at the hospital she was in yellow code, but she remained stuck inside the ambulance for several hours and as soon as the emergency room doctors examined her, her condition worsened : she was in red code.
It happened at the Carbonia hospital last weekend. A 91-year-old patient from Domusnovas has been hospitalized in the Surgery ward since Friday . When she arrived at the hospital, there were thirteen emergency vehicles in the Sirai forecourt. They waited for hours before the patients could access triage .
These are unfortunately frequent scenes at the Sulcis hospital, with the inevitable protests of relatives and emergency volunteers.
