Car theft in Alghero: A report for aggravated theft.

Alghero police have reported a local man at large for aggravated theft and the unauthorized possession of altered keys and lock picks.

The man was caught red-handed by a police officer while rummaging through a car that had just been broken into using a specially designed metal rod to open the doors.

A patrol car then arrived on the scene and determined that the suspect had already broken into and stolen another car. The stolen items were recovered in his possession.

The man, already known to law enforcement, has been reported to the competent judicial authority.
