The environmentalist association, the Legal Intervention Group, will challenge the real estate company Tavolara Bay srl before the Regional Administrative Court of Sardinia. Specifically, it will challenge the company's appeal seeking annulment of the revocation of the permit to convert Villa Joy into a hospitality facility.
At the preliminary hearing, scheduled for July 29th, the environmentalists will be represented by lawyer Carlo Augusto Melis Costa. The association had already supported, before the Regional Administrative Court, the appeal filed by the Sardinia Region to annul the single permit granted thanks to the ZES. The case is currently pending. The Court is expected to rule on the merits on February 18th.
"The area (about fifty hectares by the sea, another dozen hectares inland) rich in Mediterranean scrub," observes Stefano Deliperi , on behalf of the Grig, "is affected by a real estate project much larger than the one currently subject to the Zes procedure, promoted by Tavolara Bay srl: a five-star hotel with 50 rooms, 30 villas (of 500 and 200 square meters), restaurants, commercial and tourist services, a marina, and a golf course."
For the first part of the project, access to the simplified procedures provided for by the Single Economic Zone for Southern Italy, operational from 1 January 2024, was requested.
