It was found among the rocks, about fifteen meters from the point where Manola Mascia, the twenty-eight-year-old from Cagliari resident in San Michele, was recovered lifeless on Wednesday: the body - almost certainly that of Paolo Durzu, the thirty-three-year-old from Quartu, the young woman's boyfriend, missing since Tuesday - was only partly in the water in Cala Fighera.

He was noticed by the teams involved in the search formed by the Coast Guard and the Fire Department: the recovery operations, complicated by the strength of the wind and the very rough sea, took place from land with the specialists of the Fire Department and ended at 12.05. The body was handed over to the coroner.

On site, with the coroner Roberto Demontis, Rear Admiral Giovanni Stella, maritime director and commander of the Cagliari Coast Guard, as well as the investigators of the Flying Squad who are dealing with the investigations.

Paolo Durzu's parents were desperate and burst into tears. Stella approached them to console them. The recovery of the body has been completed, and now the official recognition can take place.

Also today, the autopsy will be performed on Manola Mascia's body. Later, the autopsy will also be ordered on the second body, which will be taken to Brotzu for an initial examination and made available to the authorities. What happened between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning will be very complicated, even if the tragic accident hypothesis could be one of the most likely leads .
